Major League / High Cost City: If you are in the city limits of a city with a ML team, then you will take the ML rate above. The following cities below should also be considered as a “high cost / ML city” to take the higher per-diem rate: o New Orleans, Louisiana o Nashville, Tennessee o Portland, Oregon o New Haven, Connecticut o Charlotte, North Carolina o Columbus, Ohio o Las Vegas, Nevada o Louisville, Kentucky o Vancouver, Canada o Syracuse, New York o Brooklyn, New York o San Jose, California o Sacramento, California o Fresno, California

Pirate City/DR Stay: When staying at Pirate City in Bradenton or the Dominican Republic Complex, assuming all meals are at the complex, you will take the “PC/DR Stay” rate above - $25/day.

Meal Details:

Meals Paid by Company: If you receive a meal paid by and expensed by Pirates Personnel (i.e., Department Dinner), then you must remove that meal cost from your daily per-diem. This includes meals at Pirate City and the Dominican Republic Academy.
Flights/Car travel after 11 AM: If you leave your house after 11 AM, then you should remove the breakfast cost from your daily per-diem
Flights/Car travel after 2 PM: If you leave your house after 2 PM, then you should remove breakfast and lunch costs from your daily per-diem

Additional Lodging Per-Diem / Not Staying in Hotel or Airbnb: If you are on a scouting trip and you stay with a friend, family, etc. and avoid the cost of a hotel, you can take an additional $50 in lodging per-diem each day
